Yeah. I've always thought about it but I can't see it any other way. There's thousands of words in languages that are used to describe things that don't exist but can be percieved through the mind of a human being and time is one of them.
Edit - The best way I can explain it is time is nothing but a measurement made up by human beings just like the millimeter is made up by the human being. Millimeter doesn't actually exist because you cannot see it under a microscope and its not a spiritual being so there is no arguement that any measurements exist. For instance, you can have an item that is one millimeter in length, the item exists but millimeter is just the description (of no physical value), you can then make the item longer but that doesn't mean your making the millimeter longer because a 'millimeter is a millimeter' much like 'time is time'. Nothing but descriptive words for measurements.
