We can strike off examples from sixth gen lists, but it seems like there's going to be an increasing pool of "seventh gen only" games going forward. Lightning Returns next year; Dark Souls 2; Castlevania LoS 2; Ninja Gaiden Z; Drakengard 3; etc. Plenty of stuff that could get next gen ported, but absolutely no confirmation. And like I said, Japan is going to keep supporting seventh gen for a long, long time. It's fine making a list now. I have no problem with that; you're putting the work in. I'm just saying, for a lot of people the generation is a long way from being over and new games that could top people's lists may well be appearing in the future; and just because they could be added to a different list doesn't mean they shouldn't be on this one. Burnout Revenge as an example. Just because it exists as a 360 game, doesn't mean it shouldn't be included in a list of the best sixth gen games (especially if it was making my personal list, since I never owned a 360 but I did own that game on PS2). But anyway, I think I've made my point now so I'll leave it at that. |
this gen is obviously still going to continue. Never said that. Just said that there is nothing big enough to really change what is placed. A t most Dark Souls 2 could make top 25. I really dont see any of the others changing anything. If there is something big coming I will do another one next year for this generation as I dont even know if we will have enough games to vote for for next gen next year. Though 3DS, Vita, and WiiU will have been out for a couple years, XBO and PS4 wont have the same privelage.
