Your first mistake would be assuming that this game would have awesome Metroidvania gameplay.  Even though it's Metroid style, it uses the Arkham gameplay in a 2D plane, which automatically removes the possibility of it being as good as an exploration CV or Metroid style game. 

It is a hope not an assumption.  Also the trophies leaked, and several of them are for exploration related tasks.  Hopefully maybe some of them are in-depth.
