Heck pretty sure Pikman got hugely negative responce on its initial showing, yet now its a franchice people begged for years for the next iteration. People want a new IP from Nintendo, but whenever one is shown its never what htey want. I swear no one would be happy until Nintendo shows a call of duty trailer. |
Hit the nail on the head... But you forgot one more thing, if it's not made by Nintendo, some people actually have a problem with that even if it's a 3rd-party exclusive that Nintendo supervised or 2nd-party.

I wish that Jaffe worded his thoughts better... A complete sell-out is something I fear the worst (Look what happened to LucasArts). If it's some sort of a partnership/collaberation, then I'm bloody okay with it! And a real Nintendo is not a bad idea!
When he said have some new blood, I thought Nintendo did that already, wasn't New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the 3DS for??? Or was that just a myth?
And the "new sh*t!" he said.., hasn't he seen the Wii U? And I won't even bother going in details with the games, no matter how light the gamepad usage may be.
