It isn't that big of a deal. Sure, it would be nice for X1 to have the superior version of CoD but I doubt the majority of CoD players won't even know of the difference, let alone notice there is one. If it was a title like... GTA VI, that would be bigger. It's more of a core title, though with gta v being so easy...

Yeah the majority of players might not take much notice, but I am also buying a PS4 around 2015/near 2016 so two years of multiplatform titles running at substandard resolutions make me feel a bit off. I know most of my friends are going 360 to XB1 with COD, so I'll be upgrading my 360 version via digital download anyways to get both versions. I'm just hoping they get their act together come the next installment and everyone is running at 1080p.

Again, *IF* this rumor is true this is bad for MS and for the select few like me who end up going with both consoles. I'm sure some people have even considered canceling their pre-order over the 1080p/720p differences.

But I am more upset with IW, true, because MS was able to go 1080p with Forza. COD Ghosts hardly looks next gen.

It's just that simple.
