I kind of agree with you and I kind of don't.  I don't think the original XO was all that bad.  People would have gotten used to it.  However, despite how Microsoft is trying to play this, I can't respect them for changing at the drop of a hat.  They might have been listening to fans but it was a decision based on money.  They got scared.  If they really, honestly believed the original XO plans were better then they should have stuck with their guns and explained WHY it was better.  The way they're trying to play it now, like they deserve praise both for being visionaries ahead of their time AND for listening to the fans by converting back, it kind of annoys me.

As for the article itself, yeah, it's more than a bit sensational.
