I don't know of any MS gaming rental program. I know of their Games with Gold, where you get to keep the free games for eternity. Idk about any rentals though.

He might be referring to online, as you have to rent the multiplayer part of every game with XBL. On top of that, doesn't every "Game with Gold" have a multiplayer component, meaning you'll have to keep paying anyway?
