Strangely, I can't remember when or how I got a PS1. I'm pretty sure I had to save up gift money and my mom helped with the rest.
I remember playing Tekken on the demo disc that came with it and thinking how amazing it was compared to the previous gen. I remember being completely blown away by GT1--it's crazy, but I can remember trying that first track over and over, because I sucked at it, like it was yesterday. I remember playing Suikoden for the very first time and thinking that it was exactly what I'd been looking for. I remember having a blast playing Bushido Blade with my friend. I remember feeling both awe and dread over that big-ass snake in FF VII. I remember being captivated by FFT and wishing that it would never end.
The PS1 will always be my favorite console.
