Interesting idea, but I am not sure how viable it will be for a lot of things. The detail just isn't there. It looks like it will be a cool toy to play with but I don't see me making a lot of useful items with it.
Guy is pretty smart though. He came up with some pretty good ways of working around using expensive parts.
I may buy one on release for kicks but holding out for the powder based printers for the real useful items I want to make.
Last time I looked into them they were getting them close to being able to print out shoes.
