I like the way that GTA5 did the cut scenes. In game = cut scenes. Yeah it might not look as pretty, but it's more immersive when you walk up to a cut scene and it takes over control and then starts, and then goes back to giving you control in a similar manner, WITHOUT the screen cutting away.
I think that should be the standard for next gen now that graphics are good enough.
