We had 1 main series title for the entire last generation (not MMO) and 2 in the last 10 years. That's sad. If he directs any, it's a step in the right direction. I just hope that Ito goes all out with FFXVI. If the game sells many copies and gets a lot of critical acclaim, it will make it more likely that SQEX will choose him to direct more future mainline FF games. They'll choose him over Kitase/Toriyama.
