I completely agree with what you are saying ... yet what you are describing is prostitution which is illegal in U.S. at least. Essentially, the gold digger women are prostitutes, but it is not socially acceptable/legal to call them out as such. That's why we call them gold diggers instead.
Don't get me wrong, I am 100% for prostitution being legalized everywhere. It is a service just like anything else and no violence is involved in the process. I can understand though that for now if an older rich guy wants to get a prostitute or a group of them he has to engage in these semantics of "oh this is my girlfirend," or this is "my wife." We all know it is prostitution, but we just can't call it that. I would imagine that most of these guys spend very little of their actual free time with their supposed girlfriends and wives ... at least I don't see why they would bother.
