Interesting looking at the Dengeki Top50 software none of the 10 new PSV rereleases (like Soul Sacrifice) charted. It´s really notable that none of those games managed to sell 1.000 units last week looking at very decent 60k hardware sold last week.

It seems quite a lot of people just replaced their old PSV1000 and the number of new aufience wasn´t that big.

I suspect there are quite a lot of people upgrading (and a few people importing from other countries, among other things).

But still.  None of the "PlayStation the best" range has charted upon release yet.  The games just aren't big enough.  That and the fact that it's still probably cheaper to pick up a used copy rather than a new copy with a horrible yellow border round the box.

In my opinion last week was some kind of an attempted relaunch for the PSV. A revision in 6 different colors, new ad campaign and alongside new releases also budget titles of some of the best selling PSV titles like Soul Sacrifice. That none of them broke 1.000 units suggests that there were some rebuyers and who knows how many were imported since it´s a worldwide Japanese exclusive revision so far.

Just to put things in perspective even a launch title like NSMBU charted this week in the Dengeki Top50.
