If I had a penny for every time someone posted that he "brought" a game, I'd probably be able to buy a new game. Now, I'm not a native speaker and I had assumed that in some countries it is completely acceptable to use "bring instead of "buy", but I looked it up and it seems to be just carelessness. Anyone know why it's such a common mistake? I get the "I could care less" kind of mistakes, because people say that all the time, but does anyone say that they "brought a tv"? |
If you find an example post maybe you could post it? Was it something like "my friend brought it over" which just means a friend came over with something or "I brought The Last of Us day one." which is a spelling error.
