I think Sega's a little too big a fish to swallow...they are after all the second largest game maker in Japan after Nintendo, what, with a swiftly growing home division (Gone from No 14 to No 6 3rd party in 3 years), a near monopoly on the arcade market (60-70% in 2006), a healthy chunk of the Panchinko market, toys, anime and so on, unless Sony was really willing to spend some serious money, it wouldn't happen.
