That's just because Nintendo's casual games.

You can't disregard their causal games in ratings and then praise them for innovation later.  They chose to do this, so it makes Sony's advantage no less sweet.

"Sony's advantage", of course, being catering to reviewers.  I think that we can say that reviewers are somewhat worthless when it comes to reviews of these games; they may be very fun, but because the reviewers shy away from those types of games, and towards FPS or whatever you want to say their bias is towards...

well, I would say that Sony might wanna start thinking about what types of games might *not* be reviewed well, if they want to tap into this market at all.  The Blue Ocean will not be broken into by a game that scores 90+ on metacritic... metacritic is a gauge of how much the red ocean likes the game.  Keep that in mind whenever talking about review scores.

And I would just like to take this opportunity to point out... I have had a hell of a lot more fun with the 72% Endless Ocean than I ever will with the 86% Resistance: Fall of Man.

i think sony caters to it's audience. it's audience is made up of gamers. there's nothing wrong with that. besides, no one ever said nintendo was bad. from a publishing standpoint it just averaged slightly lower then sony in 07. no big deal.
