To the few people who asked me what my current specs are, I'm not super computer savvy.  I bought a pre built HP Pavillion and just installed my own graphics cards (two 5750's in Crossfire)  and a 850W Power Supply.

I have an Intel i7 920 @ 2.67 GHZ Processor

I have 9 GB Of Ram  (what DDR is I'm not sure I'd have to pull out the ram and find out although if the kind of RAM will make for a  possible bottlekneck I'll do it and find out).

Do you think  that a more advanced card would bottlekneck with these specs?  In addition if I do pick up a card should I wait until black friday and any other recomendations on cards between $300 - $500 that would put me at a level above a PS4?

It's funny how the poll is heavily PS4 Sided, but the comments have been majorly graphics card oriented.  Based on what I'm hearing right now, I'm still up in the air on it.  Based on the arguements it seems like a graphics card would be a better investment, I just don't want to miss out playing with some of my buds online.   Does anybody know if The Division, Destiny, or DriveClub will have crossplay between games?

Remember that this site is mainly focused on console gaming, I feel this site is mostly playstation dominant from what I've been following the past few years. Lot of people also aren't very computer savvy so naturally the choice to recommend is the console. I highly doubt any games are going to be crossplay, it's not a good idea to mix two platforms. One side usually ends up with some control scheme handicap.

I really think getting a great GPU especially AMD GPU now is a good bet, even if mantle doesn't pan out as it's expected. You would still have a very very powerful GPU for 1080p gaming. You will also have the whole PC library to play on. Consoles will just get more games as time passes by and u will ahve lot more potential games to buy for cheaper later on.

Though wish we knew what ur mobo is, would see exactly what it's capable of. I think it might have atleast PCI-E 2.0 x16 cause it comes with an i7. :)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883107989 this one ur setup? It comes with some same parts also would be DDR3 capable and it will come with 2x PCI-E 2.0 x16 which means crossfiring works great :)

Though having other card on a 4x/8x isnt gonna hold u back by much especially if u aren't playing on a 120hz monitor, ur not gonna even see the difference.
