I don't see how you would have interpreted it as against sony or nintendo as I have been comparing the X1 to the 360 the whole time, but whatever.  I agree that higher preorders does not necessarily mean that it will sell better in the long run, but it is also the only data we actually have to look at right now.  You are saying that it looks like the X1 won't sell nearly as much as the 360, but you don't have anything to base that on other than your thoughts of the price point being too high and the economy being bad.  Never mind the fact that the economy is actually doing just fine right now and the last generation suffered through one of the worst recessions ever and still managed to move the most hardware of any generation.

Basically, I'm supporting my views with the only data available, you are supporting your views with conjecture.

@Bold Hahahahaha. That was hilarious, you said the economy was doing good ?  Last generation had a recession ? (Are you serious ? I think your in la la land LOL.)

The only thing preorders prove is that the hardcore fanbase has grown not what the general consumer wants. You can keep saying my analysis stinks but $500 in this economy while not differentiating itself from it's competitors sounds like a disaster for recipe and I don't care what anyone else says.

Really?  you don't think a recession happened durring the last generation of game consoles?  Do you not remember 2008-09?  Do I actually need to give you links that talk about a recession?  Do you not remember the Eurozone almost collapsing because of Greece?  And you are mocking me?

As far as the current economy, I said it is doing fine, and it is.

The us stock market is at its highest levels, housing market is rebounding, Europe is rebounding, China is still growing.  The world economy has essentially recovered at this point and is currently on a upward trajectory.  Still fragile maybe, which is why I say it is doing fine and not good or great, but it certainly isn't some terrible economy like you are trying to say it is.
