ok, I'm going to bed after this so I will let you have the last word after this.

You seem to be comparing the x1 to the ps3, I'm comparing the x1 to the 360.  So what makes me think that the x1 will sell better under current conditions?

http://www.vgchartz.com/article/251152/xbox-one-preorders-ahead-of-xbox-360-at-same-time-period/

So, you don't think that xbox is a more established brand now with more established franchises than when the 360 came out?  growing from hardware that sold 25 million to over 80 million hasn't established the brand more versus then?  Microsoft doesn't have established franchises like halo, gears, crackdown, etc? How can the market disagree with a grown userbase and an increased amount of owned franchise ip's?   How can you say that is my opinion and not fact?

As for your last paragraph, I never claimed that the x1 would be disruptive, but that it is probably the most disruptive of the three (basically that none of them are that disruptive).  Microsoft bundeling kinect with every x1 will probably help quite a bit with the software attach ratio you mention.  Also, who says next gen will retract?  you?  I haven't seen any reputable analysts say anything of the sort.

Did you mean more established than sony or nintendo cause that's how I interpreted it. BTW just because it has higher preorders than the xbox 360 doesn't mean that it will sell better than the xbox 360. The xbone isn't disruptive at all and that's because because microsoft hasn't committed to making any relevant games for the kinect 2. In fact I think it will become just as worthless as the wii u gamepad because after all if it has no software to support it's worth then it might as well not be there. I better be seeing the kinect only games selling well otherwise it will have not improved on the software attach ratio. The fact that the matter is none of the consoles are disruptive to the point that the market will grow and instead will have lost the audience because consumers from the wii will have being lost.

I don't see how you would have interpreted it as against sony or nintendo as I have been comparing the X1 to the 360 the whole time, but whatever.  I agree that higher preorders does not necessarily mean that it will sell better in the long run, but it is also the only data we actually have to look at right now.  You are saying that it looks like the X1 won't sell nearly as much as the 360, but you don't have anything to base that on other than your thoughts of the price point being too high and the economy being bad.  Never mind the fact that the economy is actually doing just fine right now and the last generation suffered through one of the worst recessions ever and still managed to move the most hardware of any generation.

Basically, I'm supporting my views with the only data available, you are supporting your views with conjecture.

@Bold Hahahahaha. That was hilarious, you said the economy was doing good ?  Last generation had a recession ? (Are you serious ? I think your in la la land LOL.)

The only thing preorders prove is that the hardcore fanbase has grown not what the general consumer wants. You can keep saying my analysis stinks but $500 in this economy while not differentiating itself from it's competitors sounds like a disaster for recipe and I don't care what anyone else says.
