Nonsense. PS4 uses low power gddr5 chips. Coupled with address and data bus inversion, the memory in the PS4 actually uses LESS power than the memory in the XBox One. Read the data sheets.

Why that quote? It says absolutely nothing about actual power consumption. This quote is ridiculed wildly because of the "uncomfortable place" bit. This was after Sony announced 8G of unified gddr5 ram, so by now everone should have realised just how "uncomfortable" the situation is - for Microsoft, not for Sony.
