With great power comes great heat. :P
My PS3 always got very hot when playing even for short times and the fans made a lot of noise.
My WiiU runs for hours (in the same closed cabinet) and doesn't make much sound. That's why I like my Nintendo. Their consoles may be underpowered, but it has the nice side-effect that they don't overheat.
Having said that, I'm sure PS4 will be fine.
It's made by a Japanese company and they know that summers in Japan (and all over the world) can be very hot, so I'm sure they will have taken the necessary precautions to prevent a disaster like the 360 RROD.
