Come on now. it wasn't that hard to understand. 

Who are we advertising to in this commercial?  It had references to Killzone, Driveclub, and what appeared to be Skyrim.  This is appealing to the same people who journey the internet on a daily basis.  The general audience aka average joe that does not know about the PS4 still doesnt with this commercial.

The Monday Night Football audience isn't the average joe.
