People believe what they want. As for me evolution is one of the biggest lies of the last 100 years or so.

Compared to religion, which is THE biggest lie in the history of mankind.

Obvious case of overlooking the elphant in the room, it seems...

A lot of people commenting on this topic seem to have a lot of pride. Haven't you heard pride blinds?

..and the day you think you know everything (ie faith), is the day that you stop learning.

Now let me explain what I mean by evolution. I mean that all life evolved from some single cell. Bacteria adapting to antibiotics is not the evolution I am talking about.

Stop right there...

Those two "evolutions" you're talking about are THE SAME THING. It's a result of gradual mutation and selection given environment, with genetic secularity gained from cultures physically separated from others. You'll find that bacteria adapting to antibiotics is genetic mutations of bacteria that are able to withstand a changing environment (ie. antibiotics), thus only their branches will continue. Given bacteria's rate of reproduction, think of it only as a sped up example of evolution at work.

Here are a few reasons why I think evolution is a lie and the evolution story people have been fed is a fairytale:

I'm extremely tempted to think that NONE of this is your work, rather a copy/paste from some kind of creationist site giving claims against evolution. Of course, most of these claims to falsify are in fact only half-truths. For example, the claim that "mutations mostly harm". Any mutation considered different from the norm is "harmful". Keep in mind that the article said "MOST", not ALL. That is all it takes, since harmful mutations would generally be quickly removed from the gene pool via natural selection, and eventually, you'll find that beneficial mutations, given their rate of benefit with regards to different aspects (environment, reproductability) will become the "norm" of the culture. Of couse, if you did PROPER research, you'd know that.

See, I actually did some homework. So please don't say or imply that all people who disbelieve the evolution story are ignorant or never read a scientific publication. I don't think I am more wise,  intelligent, or better than you because we differ on the varacity of the evolution story. Nor do I begrudge or insult, or scoff at you.

I don't call a copy/paste atempt of half-truths "homework". Your argument reeks of "this cannot be so, therefore religion", which is, by definition, an "argument through ignorance" fallacy. That being said, your attempts to DISPROVE evolution bring you no closer to actually proving your own stance.

Science works in one way and one way only: To best explain the workings of things given the facts. Nothing is proven in science. As you'll note, the theory of evolution has been tinkered with several times over the course of it's life, IN LIGHT OF NEW EVIDENCE. It's undergone a lot more rigorous training than your little copy/paste attempts show. Of course, once again, if you did PROPER research, you'd know that.

I can post a whole lot more information that totally destroys the evolution story even more so (at least for me), but who is going to really read a lot of it? This is a fundamentally a video game forum after all.

Or why not just point people to the site you got it all from, rather than just copying the entire page?

I suggest everyone who seeks the truth to take some time and do their own deep studying on the subject matter and come to their own conclusion.

...and might I add that you shouldn't try to use an end to justify the means, like this person certainly did.
