There's no way for you or I, or anyone else, to know whether or not God is this being/ deity/ whatever who caused everything that exists to come into existence.  For all we know, God might be responsible for what is our limited human theory of evolution.  For all we know, God doesn't exist and things just randomly occur.  The point is, we don't know.

I don't think it's accurate or fair to paint a group of people as being ignorant simply because you don't believe what they believe. 

None of us have all the answers.  None of us have even a fraction of the answers.  There is a lot that we as humans still don't know.  Part of our humanity is learning new things and continuing to grow and develop our knowledge.

Ah the old standby.  Of course you can't prove soething doesn't exists.  Just like you can't prove that there is not an invisible pink Unicorn that only I can see, hear, or touch in my room right now. 

But, why would any logical person believe in something with no evidence?  If you think that it's possible that the world was created by god then fine.  But, to actually devoutly believe that possibility without a shred of evidence?  What do you call someone who passionately subscribes to a theory with no proof of it?  I'd call that person incredibly ignorant.
