No, the drop from 6th to 7th gen was not much. The drop from last gen to this one was huge. No matter how you wanna spin it, a 20% drop is a huge drop. And the novelty of the Wii prevented that from being much worse. Has the PS3 even cracked 1 million in Japan for 2013?
Of course, compare this to the 27% or so in the US and the 24% or so in Europe INCREASE in home console sales this gen and yeah, pretty amazing.
