Q3/Q4. In that context, they mean late 2014. That is what I expect. No need to release in Q1.

Next time the node transition process will only get longer and longer so you can pretty much forget about yearly releases and start by getting used to biyearly releases of new cards from both manufacturers.

I'm not worried about it. Once I SLI Maxwell's strongest card next year, I won't be in the market again until Q4 2016, when Volta releases.

There will be a time where transistors will stop doubling, mark my words. ;P

Edit: Just so you know I expect volta to be at 2017 Q2.
