VIta is a bad name, but the worst is by far it's price, lack of support, and general positionning as a portable home console instead of a fun accessible portable system.

not a good comparison. because microsoft simply fucked up nearly every single aspect. i don't feel like those two situations are the same.

imo Vita fucked up nearly every aspect - if it had had at launch a line-up similar to X1's it might have gained enough momentum

you're right about the lowering of the price, but still, launch price and launch line-ups are what usually determine the most the trajectory of consoles, and in those two departments, considering how risky the positionning was, Sony missed the target.
