"Of course", really?  I've sen many threads and posts over the years where if x manufacturer went then gamer x would leave giving forever. 

I understand the question perfectly well.  The fact that the question can be asked without thinking the answer is obvious says everything about gaming "fans".

I'd look back and say they helped improve gaming in the time they existed in the space.  I'd say exactly the same for Nintendo and Sony, nothing more and nothing less. It's the only answer anyone can give to all 3 unless they are one eyed.
