The figurine part was in the podcast, I didn't know for sure but I wouldn't have been surprised.
I may have said that in an incorrect way in regards to cosplay. I was simply trying to state that Kojima making Quiet look the way she does simply for the reason to have girls cosplay as her and look "erotic" is wrong. People cosplay as Meryl, and Sniper Wolf, and The Boss no problem and they (mostly) didn't have any overly ridiculous clothing.
If people want to cosplay they'll do it because they like the character. That's all the motivation they need, they want to look like their favorite character or the character they think is totally awesome. If you make a good character they'll cosplay as them, that's my understanding of it. But for Kojima to make Quiet the way he did to inspire girls to dress like her is wrong in my opinion. Make a great character Kojima, that's all you need to do.
