Ok now I am picking on you :P
In terms of controller options, Nintendo gives its customers far more. You can play with the GamePad, you can play with the Pro Controller, you can play with the Wii Remote. Now if what you want is a Wii U without a GamePad then you're out of luck. This isn't an a la carte industry.
