I dont really care where a word comes from to be perfectly honest. If when i say goodbye people know they are leaving or i am then i am fine with that.
With that been said i dont really say good bye that often. I usually say ciao, arrivederci, tatty bye, toodles, cya, bumbawayatuna or however it would be spelled. Yes as you can tell i just love using random words for anything.
