It's unfair to despise NK because it seems like a failure to our standards. North Koreans aren't overpopulating the world like Africans and Indians, or eating away it's resources like the US or China. So in a sense they are much more stable than most of the other societies and cultures. That's worthy a round of applause.
However, the government itself is pretty bad. Too authoritarian and warmonger for my tastes. Also, they apparently torture people and stuff and that's a no-no for anyone who supports human rights. So you are being way too idealist right there. No one is perfect, neither us or them.
