That was an overly harsh sentence... I also think Kinect would've better left optional, but I also hate how every single decision MS makes is used as an attempt to capitalize on. If they think having a camera is a integral part of the experience, that's their decision, good or bad (bad, IMHO).
For God's sake, sit down in your couch and enjoy your system of choice.
