I agree I think GTA V is an excellent game and much,much more enjoyable to play then GTA IV was also I actually really like the story too which Is odd for me becuase I normally have no intrest in GTA games story but I dont think its as good as the Last of Us is.

why though?

I really like the story in GTA V and I also really love the idea to be able to switch betwwen characters during missions and roaming around the huge city. Although while I played through the story I ran into a lot of glitches. Textures and city enviorments were always popping in, sometimes during the cinematic scense characters would glitch out and not look right ( One time Micheal had no legs and his face was for some reason all black although kind of funny it really took me out of the story's atmosphere.), the controls were confusing for me somtimes like the flying and submarine parts. Dont get me wrong I think GTA is an excellent game I just think compared to the Last of Us it isnt as good. For me the Last of Us had the best graphics, best story, best characters, and best soundtrack out of any game I played this year and had a surprisingly great mulriplayer ( I wont say its the best because GTA Online is yet to be released and it looks really awesome.) But thats just my opinion everyones Game of the Year could be different.
