Dinyamic resolution was the same thing that WipEout on PS3 did... the game chanes the horizontal resolution internaly to hold the framerate. WipEout in low speeds runs always close to 1920x1080 but in the highest speeds the game drop to 1280x1080... so you can have in some intense part a resolution like 1572x1080.
The game always change the horizontal resolution to mantain the framerate always in 60fps (in the DR3 case 30fps).
