OK, let's hear the breakdown.

A computer does all that with even more value for the price.

Not that I'm knocking the XO.  The real lure of consoles is that they trade in some measure of versatility for simplicity.  The can do less but with less effort and knowledge required.

Still, value is relative.  I wouldn't use most of the features on the XO or the PS4, as I have a PC for that, so the PS4 is the better value, for me, between the two.  For someone who wants all the extra media stuff, wants Kinect, the XO might be the better value.  Depends on the person.
