Yet, if they opened their fabs to other companies to produce chips for them, the fabs would have been more heavily utilised and AMD would have made some cash on the side even the fabs on old fabrication processes, which are great for things like Audio DACS.
But it was too little to late after ATI's aquisition.
Anyway, no point discussing the "could have's" and "Should haves". :P
