Dang man, that is some seriously bad luck...I don't blame you for not wanting another MS product after so much trouble.
I personally haven't had much trouble at all. Had both my 360's break once on me but my time with MS on the phone was not troublesome at all. Aside from that I haven't had a single problem with anything aside from that. My cousins however are both having tons of problems with their Gold accounts because of all the security features MS now requires (but that's more of their fault for not remembering their various passwords and whatnot).
