Oh, talking exactly the same that Tretton guy was saying. Build your own opinion. Sony wishes Vita would have the sales power the 3DS has. Sony even makes a Nintendogs kinda game for Vita. Tell for which this is aimed at when the Vita is so hardcore? Not grown men, that's for sure. |
I'm not a handheld gamer, so thats why I sound a bit negative towards the 3DS, but my Sony fanboyism won't stop me from protecting them haha; Sony's desperate at this point. In order for them to sell well, they can't sell hardcore games, it's suicide. Unless they release more of the same PSP games (exclusive Metal Gears and God of Wars etc), the Vita won't shine for too much longer. Also, their (Sony) games and franchises are not culturally known as Mario and company are.
If you ask a child~tween which handheld game that they want to play, they'll play something popular within their age range, such as Pokemon or again, Mario. Handhelds overall are designed for all ages, but the games themselves are more directed towards spoiling childen. That doesn't mean that the 3DS doesn't have its own fair share of hardcore gamers. It completely does. But, the numbers don't lie. The 3DS is a sales monster, but for its designated market, which is for the primarily younger market. The beauty of Nintendo products is also their affordability. Kids with rich parents can spoil them with multiple games etc, as they are not so expensive. Yet less fortunate adults can also provide for their own with the same product, with the flagship game, and everyone (Nintendo and 3DS owners) are happy.
All of this, of course, is just my opinion.
Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
