| Mr Khan said: You're generalizing in a terrible way. While some from the Nintendo camp have the unfortunate habit of bashing more cinematic games (one user in particular comes to mind), most of us are merely disinterested in most of the offerings. I have noticed a certain chauvanism regarding LittleBigPlanet specifically, but i think that's because the Nintendo community is fiercely picky about quality platformers (also why there's a mixed enthusiasm for Rayman among Nintendo fans, as while Rayman is colorfully imaginitive and a beautifully rendered game, it can get a little floaty as a platformer, which veterans of 2D Mario or Donkey Kong Country are going to frown upon. LBP has similar problems with the fundamentals, again in the matter of floatiness). Most of what Sony and Microsoft make don't concern me in the slightest, though i've admired some of Sony Japan's works, like Ape Escape, Loco Roco, Patapon, and the Trico games. |
what's up.
