So they used the same fingerprint that was normally used by this iPhone to unlock it?
No surprise that would work there, everybody can do that. That's not really hacking and cracking, it's just an overly complicated way to boot up your phone. The trick is to unlock if you don't have that fingerprint. Then you will have 'broken' the 5S's security. Now try that before trying to get some attention.
