No. What I said was the xbox had ALREADY stopped being BOUGHT before it was taken off sale. So it had already reached its maximum possible lifetime sales. Even if it had been available for another 5 years, it wouldn't have sold any more. It's really very very simple. You're wrong. |
You are saying exactly the same thing I am saying, and I am wrong? Please enlighten me! Or maybe you are not reading what I am saying. Let me articulate what I am saying.
Xbox sold "x" amount in 3 years. The average sale is x / 3
360 sold "y" amount in 8 years. The average sale is y / 8
To get the averages (x/3 or y/8), we need those x and y's. Well, This site starts tracking data from 2004 onwards (and Xbox was pretty much dead in 2005), so I will go ahead and make a reasonable estimate that Xbox sold around 700 K in Japan in 3 years. So
x = 700 K, x/3 = 233.33 K (average annual Xbox sales in Japan)
Xbox 360 sales are around 1.7 million. So,
y = 1700 K, y/8 = 212.5 K (average annual 360 sales in Japan)
Well, now that you look at the AVERAGE sales figure and see NO SIGNIFICANT change.
Now, got it?
Please don't tell me that I am wrong but stating exactly the same stuff AGAIN!
