you'd think such a business minded person as yourself would recognize a good buisiness decion when you see one. sony is prioritizing its stock to the regions where xbox can actually has a chance to compete. an early lead in the US and UK (capitalizing on MS's bad pricing decision) could really put MS into an irrelevant position next gen if sony manages to hit critical mass in those regions.
..besides, it's not like xbox is even releasing in japan any time soon. as it stands ps4 will probably still be out months ahead of xbone in japan. shame MS can't get their shit together enough to launch their hardware. ms made such great strides to be almost as relavent as sony this gen and they are just throwing it all away.

They could release in japan with nothing and bank shit loads of cash. That's a good business decision. Who knows what will happen this holiday in Japan.
Obviously he 3DS will render the Vita irrelevant there so Sony only has home consoles to keep the Playstation brand as strong there. What if somehow the WiiU gets some traction? Sony may regret neglecting and taking for granted one of their second most important market. Who knows.
To follow your logic, ms shouldn't launch in the UK first and should concentrate on the emerging European markets.
