That's not really how it works and besides the original xbox had stopped selling by the end of that 3 years, so it wouldn't have added that many in the next 5 years. 


No, no, that's exactly how it works, and you know what's funny? I totally agree with what you say, they did stop selling Xbox at the end of 3 years. So basically Whatever original Xbox sold, it sold in only 3 years. But this 1.7 million x360 sales are spread over 8 years. So on average, they'd have sold about  600-700 K at the same time frame. And boom, that is NO GROWTH whatsoever, forget how small or large it is!
