I don't see the gap the steam box can fill really when consoles are closer and closer to pcs, if valve made a bunch of high quality games exclusively for that platform the backlash would be to big for it to be worth it, and making multiplat pc/steam box games will probably end up with 95-99% of the games bought on pc and the rest on the steam box for Valve and other devs.
Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
