Woohoo another off topic thread! Anyways, PS4 and X1 wouldn't be hard to outpower lol.... In a year you can easily get hardware much more powerful at the same price and if SteamBox is Linux based then efficiency will be good as well.

DDR4 man, DDR4.

No we need AMD to force GDDR6 for main memory man and not just leave at the GPU. DDR4 does jack for high bandwidth pruposes LOL.


We are talking about outpowering X1 or PS4, DDR4 is plenty to do that job running on an efficient OS like Linux. GDDR6 is more like outpowering current high end PCs.

But can DDR4 beat GDDR5 ? I don't know about you but we need GDDR6 to rape the PS4 and xbone.


Hmmm, your 2 year assement might be right in that case since it'd take a little for manufacturers to cap out DDR4 speeds at a reasonable price and for GDDR6 prices to come down more.
