I'll try to put this as nicely as possible: some of you are really setting yourselves up for disappointment. Unfortunately, PS3 hardware and software are both struggling in Japan at the moment, even as the console is doing well elsewhere. Expecting hardware to increase 200% or more, from 15k to 40k+, is simply not going to happen. Even with a bundle deal, it's difficult to see PS3 hardware getting much higher than 30k next week, which would still be a 100% increase in sales.
I'm not all that familiar with the Yakuza name, but I'd ask some of you to keep perspective on the Japanese market. So far, only two PS3 games have topped the 300k mark in Japan:

So far, no titles have topped the 500k mark, and only six games have even reached 200k. Hopefully Yakuza can become the seventh, but... it's hopelessly idealistic to think that it's going to sell in the 400-500k region. It would be better to be more realistic, to avoid getting disappointed.
End of 2008 totals: Wii 42m, 360 24m, PS3 18.5m (made Jan. 4, 2008)
