If I'm honest, all this excitement over those headsets or glasses mean nothing to me. It's not something I'm interested.
With that said, and respecting the work that those guys at Nvidia are doing, I see those glasses as something useless... in games, of course.
You see, one of the biggest reasons for the Oculus or Sony's devices is increasing immersion in games. Big (fake) screens in front of your eyes, dolby stereo (or whatever), motion tracking sensors to change the in-game camera, etc. All those things go in the direction of improving immersion. That's also the reason why they are headsets and not glasses, to separate you (at least your eyes and ears) from the real world.
But what kind of immersion will you get from those "sunglasses" when you can still see and hear everything surrounding you?
I hope Mark Rein is hyped about something else (maybe Nvidia is launching their own console Steambox to pair it with Shield?), otherwise this seems just pointless.
Please excuse my bad English.
