A linux based but open (install windows if you want) console like living room PC. It will play your existing steam library (if the games are ported to it... 200 or so already done) and steam is trying to bring the PC experience into a livingroom format. It will be both a spec (that people can buld to) and a physical device. Expect an anouncement of games for it after the device is launched. Valves library is already ported except for CS:GO )and portal 2 is still in limited beta. Metro Last light will be out soon and a ton of other games. See waht is already ported for the unreleased console here http://store.steampowered.com/browse/linux/
The porting of games began in January and has hit a few hundred already. By the time this launches the list of games will eclipse a current console (WiiU/Ps4?XBone). It will also come in tiers good/better/best plus you can always share the game library with your PC. I am waiting to see what thier spec models are before building my own. I am thinking ROG microITX build with an NVIDIA 770 or 760 if the specs are too console like.
I am excited, i have a spot already picked out for it next to my WiiU (still undecided on the PS4 I will wait on that till next christmas at least).
