Was that research done by a firm paid by Sony? My HTC one takes better night shots than that. Autofocus doesn't do too hot. They need to pick a focus point to get better lighting.

You ask that question now but think there's nothing wrong with posting a comparison from a Windows Phone fansite?

It seems like these were taken in almost complete darkness. When do you take night shots in almost complete darkness?

Here is something to consider...was this test performed using optimal settings on the Lumias? I can take a photo in pitch dark and make it much brighter than that using the Lumia 920.

For example, the Camera Pro app has manual shutter speed control. You can leave the shutter open for up to 4 seconds. Leaving it open for that long will usually make pitch dark photos appear too bright when you leave the shutter open for 4 seconds.
